Learn Karate – beginners’ course
The New Year is a great time to get fit, improve your mental resilience, build strength, improve flexibility and boost your confidence.
Come and learn Karate basics with Sochin Karate Club and get yourself ready to take your first grading with us in March!
Training with us is very affordable with sessions usually costing just £5 – but our Learn Karate Beginners’ Course offers a six week (block of 12 sessions) for just £25 to get you started. The course starts on Monday, 13 January.
Sochin Karate Club trains at Kendal Hall, next to St Mary Bredin Church, Nunnery Fields , Canterbury. Sessions are held on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7pm to 8.30pm.
Places are limited to enable our beginners to train with a range of skilled Karateka. The club is led by a team of black belts and club chairman, Sensei Georges, who is a Sixth Dan and has been a Karateka for more than 50 years.
Whether you’re a total newbie or have dabbled a bit, these sessions are perfect for anyone looking to learn the basics of this martial art. Our experienced instructors will guide you through the fundamentals of Karate, from stances to strikes. Get ready to build strength, improve flexibility, and boost your confidence. Note: Sochin Karate Club does cater for young people of secondary school age.
- Young people aged from 14 to 17 can attend on their own providing they have parental permission.
- Young people aged from 11 to 13 may attend only if their responsible adult is also taking part in the training session.
